Komunitas Sakatoya is an artists collective whose are working in art management production and theater works. Established in 2011, it previously named GALAU Production and later in 2014 changed its name to Sakatoya. Since 2018, theater works of Sakatoya is focusing on ecological issues, as Octagon Syndrome (2018), Karnaval Terakhir (2018-2019), Cosmicpollutant (2018-2019), The Happy Family (2018-2021) and Care Krisis (2021). In the managerial area, Sakatoya is managing 2 programs, which are Partnership Program and In-House Program. Through those programs, Sakatoya actively make creative process with other artists, groups or cultural platform from any other art fields, both local and international.
Since the end of 2017, Sakatoya did their works-on-art in Nirwan Dewanto’s Rumah Akanan. This house is located in Kotagede, one of historical area in Yogyakarta. Rumah Akanan itself is an old house with the combination of Colonial and Javanese architecture. Sakatoya managed this house to become an alternative artspace through several public programs and performing arts studio. Since the begining of 2021, Sakatoya started to reach some online-based cultural works through investation on live-streaming equipments like sound, lighting, camera & other multimedia device.
Komunitas Sakatoyaは、アートマネジメント製作や演劇作品を手がけるアーティスト集団です。2011年に設立され、GALAU Productionという名称から、2014年にSakatoyaに改名しました。2018年以降、Sakatoyaの演劇作品は環境問題に焦点を当てており、”Octagon Syndrome”（2018年）、”Karnaval Terakhir”（2018 – 2019年）、”Cosmicpollutant”（2018 – 2019年）、”The Happy Family”（2018 – 2021）、”Care Krisis”（2021）などの作品が挙げられます。経営面では、Sakatoyaはパートナーシップ・プログラムとインハウス・プログラムの2つのプログラムを管理しています。これらのプログラムを通じて、Sakatoyaは国内外のあらゆる芸術分野のアーティスト、団体、文化プラットフォームと積極的に創作プロセスを進めています。
2017年末以降、SakatoyaはNirwan Dewantoの”Rumah Akanan”でワーク・オン・アートを行っています。この家は、ジョグジャカルタの歴史的なエリアのひとつであるコタゲデにあります。”Rumah Akanan”そのものが、コロニアル建築とジャワ建築が融合した古い家です。Sakatoyaはこの家を、いくつかの公開プログラムやパフォーミング・アート・スタジオを通して、オルタナティブ・アートスペースを目指して運営しています。2021年初頭以降は、音響、照明、カメラ、その他のマルチメディア機器などのライブ配信機器に投資することで、オンラインベースの文化活動を開始しました。
