This is the base space for Keiko Takeya C.D.C. (now Dance 01), a dance company founded in 1983 by Keiko Takeya, one of Japan’s leading contemporary dancers, and since 2015 it has been operating as a blue theater with facilities for small-scale performances in addition to a regular dance studio.
Dance 01 is known for the “Dance East Wind,” a large-scale joint project with Asian countries (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India) that continued from 1993 to 2003. The three works created through this project have been performed in Japan, various co-host countries, as well as in Europe (Germany and Spain).
Dance 01 is currently under the artistic direction of Mikiya Takeda, who has a background in butoh dance, and is engaged in the free creation of works and active exchange activities both in Japan and overseas.

日本を代表する現代舞踊家のひとり、竹屋啓子が1983年に創設したダンスカンパニー、竹屋啓子C.D.C.（現在のダンス01）の拠点スペース。2015年から、通常のダンススタジオに設備を加えて、小規模公演をおこなえる青劇場としての運営もおこなっている。
ダンス01は1993年から2003年のあいだ継続した、アジア各国（タイ、インドネシア、マレーシーア、インド）との大型共同企画“ダンス東風”の活動によって知られ、同企画によって創作された三作品は、日本、共催国各地のほか、ヨーロッパ（ドイツ、スペイン）での公演もおこなっている。
ダンス01は、現在、舞踏出身の武田幹也が芸術監督をつとめ、自由な作品づくりと、国内、海外との積極的な交流活動に取り組んでいる。
